2012WASHOE RELAYS
Date: Tuesday April 3rd, 2012
Times: 2:45 – Field events start checking in 3:00 – Field events begin 4:00 – Track events begin
Entry Fee: $125.00 for meet entry. Each school must provide at least three adult workers to run assigned events. If you are unable to do this, we will be unable to accept your entry.
Entry Deadline: Checks should be made out to Reno High School. Mail to Attn: Head Track Coach: Mark Smith, Reno High School, 396 Booth Street, Reno, NV 89509 (late notice, just bring to meet).
Entry Form: Your check is your entry. Assign your athletes according to the guidelines below:
Field Events – A maximum of four athletes make up a team (exception pole vault with a limit of three only per division). The top three or less individual marks will be added to determine places.
Track Events – Four athletes make up a team.
Snack Bar: Will open at 3:00, with “Smitty’s Special Pulled Pork Sandwich Como Dinner”
Camps: Tents may be on the north side of the stadium or in the bleachers. Please pick up trash bags when checking in to help police your area. No glass containers, sunflower seeds, radios, Frisbees, or footballs inside the stadium.
Scoring: We will score to six places (10-8-6-4-2-1) with exception of 100 and 1500.
Gate: Adults will be $6.00. Students will be $4.00.
Tags: Anchor runners in distance relays and need tags (school and boy/girl). Also tags needed in 100 meter, 1500 meter and 110/100H relay (full name and school). Hip number will be used in all events except open 1500 run.
Awards: Team awards for winning teams and runner-up.
Results: Planned FAT. Results will be run off after the meet and sent out next day.
Hurdles: Change!!! This year the hurdles isn’t as a “Shuttle” but “Accumulative Times” over standard 110/100H spacing and heights. Four athletes make up a team with times added together (as field events). Teams without four may race with a 30 second penalty added to accumulative time for each athlete they’re short of a team.
Weight Relay: All members of the team must have competed in shot or discus in at least two track meets.
Back This Year (Non-scoring): Varsity 100 meters (one entry per school) and 1500 meters (one race for boys followed by girls). Each needs a label with full name and school.
